Getting to the Embassy of Canada

Please allow 20 minutes by car and 25 minutes by Metro.
For security reasons government-issued ID (e.g., a passport or driver's license) is required for entrance to the Embassy.
Metrorail
Metro is a quick, easy and efficient way to travel when you are in Washington, D.C., and the Embassy of Canada is within walking distance of two metros:
- Judiciary Square, served by the Red Line is the closest way to travel from the SABEW18 conference hotel the Capital Hilton using the Farragut North (Red Line) station. From the Capital Hilton go south on 16th Street, NW. Turn left on to K Street, NW. The metro will be on the right.
- Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter, served by the Green Line and Yellow Lines is also walking distance to the Embassy.
Parking The Embassy of Canada
does not have onsite visitor parking and street parking in this area is limited. The closest parking garage is the Newseum’s public parking garage. The parking garage entrance is located on C Street, NW, between 6th and 3rd streets. Rates are $10 for the first hour and $20 for over one hour, up to a full day.
Additionally, there are two public parking garages on 6th Street, NW between Constitution Ave., NW and C Street, NW.
